BENCHI MAJI – Gesha 1931 SFW (Submerged Fermentation Washed)

£19.00

Pre-order, dispatch before 19th Nov.

From the Bench Maji highlands at 1900–2000m, this Gesha 1931 lot represents the precision and restraint of Ethiopian terroir.

It’s processed with the Submerged Fermentation Washed (SFW) method — a proprietary technique involving:

• selective hand-picking of fully ripe red cherries

• depulping while retaining mucilage

• soaking the coffee in sealed tanks, fully submerged in cool water for several hours, allowing controlled fermentation

• gentle washing and slow raised-bed drying for 12–15 days under African shade

This careful process produces a remarkably clean and structured cup — crystalline acidity, elegant sweetness, and the signature tea-like clarity of Gesha.

Flavor Notes:

Tangerine

Lemon

Lychee
